Trophy Bull Elk Hunt

          In 2007, 34 rifle hunters harvested 28 bulls, with an 86%+ success rate. This was certainly our toughest year in recent history for success rate and top end bulls. 80+ degree temperatures and 40 mph winds during the bulk of the hunts didn’t help any, plus the snow of January ’07 seemed to have displaced some of the elk. Even with the cards stacked against us, we still took great bulls on each hunt. Normal conditions should make 2008 one to remember for super bulls!

Combination Deer/Elk Hunt

          These hunts are definitely the most bang for your buck. Although weather is a factor on these hunts both in Colorado and New Mexico, the opportunity for quality animals of both species is good in both states. The combination hunts in 2007 were fantastic! Between the 2 states, 9 hunters harvested 8 bulls and 9 bucks. The mule deer, for the first time since we started the combined hunts, took precedence. Every time we turned around someone was bringing in another super buck. Coolers were full on these hunts, with a line to the skinning shed and knives flying. What a great time on both hunts.
